Explore the art of Batik in this hands-on workshop, where you'll create stunning designs using the traditional hot wax drawing technique.

Bring a friend or family member for a fun, creative experience as you learn to use tjanting tools to apply hot wax to cotton fabric, then paint your design with vibrant dyes. Experiment, gain confidence, and create your own unique piece of art.

No experience needed—just creativity!

There will be lots of ideas and resources for you to work from and be inspired by, but you will also be encouraged to experiment with the use of line and mark making techniques to create something unique and personal.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

All our creative sessions need to be booked in advance and payment will be taken at the time of booking.

This workshop is suitable for children aged 8 years and above, with a reduced price for under 16’s. All under 12’s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

All unaccompanied 12-17 year olds must have a registration form completed by their guardian before attending this workshop.

Please wear clothing suitable for an outdoor art class as it will get messy from time to time!

Parking is not available at Woodings Yard Studios as it is a pedestrian zone, but there is free 3 hour parking available at the nearby Tescoes, also the Riverside multi storey car park is within a 10 min walk.

If disability parking is required please contact us. Very limited parking available on site - subject to strict availability on the day. Ownership and display of a valid blue badge is essential to qualify.
