Make your own unique colourful letter or letters using recycled drinks can metal .
Your letters will make an ideal interior decoration or to give as a gift - such as a 10th Anniversary (Tin). It could be made to sit on a shelf, or with a hanging point for display on a wall or door.
The workshop experience, is an inspiring and immersive environment suitable for all levels. We have a huge selection of printed aluminium drinks cans, all with a variety of sophisticated graphic imagery to choose from and work with.
In this workshop you will learn how to embellish the metal using embossing, punching and sanding techniques and then attach to metal to a blank wooden letter. You will then complete each letter with a recycled leather edge.

2 hours workshop - make 2 letters
3 hour workshop- make 3 letters
4 hour workshop - make 3 + letters

We also offer a Full day’s workshop experience 10am-4pm to enable you to create a longer word in drinks can letters. Guests who choose this workshop have made meaningful words like a surname, or couples or families together have created words to go on display in their home.
Prices shown are strictly “per person” prices.
EG: so for x2 people to attend for 4 hours, a maximum total of eight (8) letters can be made.
We do not allow two people to book just one space for the 4 hour slot to make make 2 letters each. In that scenario x2 session places would need to booked for making 2 letters in 2 hours.
DIMENSIONS:
Each letter is 15cm high
All workshops need to be booked in advance and payment will be taken at the time of booking.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The ProteanArt studio is based at Woodings Yard Studios, Bailey Street, Stafford ST17 4BG
This is suitable for beginners, no experience necessary.
There is no parking at Woodings Yard but all-day parking is available near our premises.
Tesco supermarket is only a 5-minute walk away and offers 3 hours of free parking. The ‘Waterfront’ carpark is 7 mins walk away.
